Eloralintide (also called LY3841136) is Eli Lilly’s investigational, once-weekly injection being studied for weight management. It activates amylin receptors—a pathway involved in appetite and feeling full. It is different from GLP-1 medicines such as semaglutide or tirzepatide, though researchers are also studying it alongside tirzepatide.
In a 48-week Phase 2 study of 263 adults, average weight loss ranged from 9.5% to 20.1%, depending on the study group and dose; the placebo group averaged 0.4%. Those are trial results, not a prediction of what any one person would lose. The most common reported side effects were stomach or intestinal symptoms and fatigue, especially in higher-dose groups.
As of September 2026, eloralintide is not FDA-approved and is in Phase 3 trials. It should only be accessed through a legitimate clinical trial; products sold online as “research” eloralintide aren’t established as safe or suitable for people.
